The UNC football team will open its 2009 season on the road against Division-1 foe Kansas on Sept. 5, and make its home debut a week later against San Diego.
The Bears will celebrate their homecoming on Oct. 10 when Portland State comes to Greeley.
The remaining home games are against Montana State on Sept. 26, Weber State on Oct. 24, South Dakota on Oct. 31 and Sacramento State on Nov. 7.
UNC is 3-31 the past three seasons, all under current head coach Scott Downing. The three wins in three years is the program's lowest three-year total since the 1920-1922 seasons (2-13-2), and UNC not finished with a winning season since it went 9-2 in 2003, Kay Dalton's fourth season as the head coach.
