Like last week against Cal Poly, Bears running back David Woods gained over 100 all-purpose yards, with 98 rushing yards and three yards receiving. Junior Ryan Chesla gained 86 yards on five catches, a career high for the tight end.
Once again, both Dominic Breazeale and Mike Vlahogeorge made appearances at quarterback against Idaho State. Breazeale threw for 132 yards with 10 completions. Vlahogeorge had six completions on 13 throws for only 21 yards.
The Bengals improved to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in Big Sky play. The Bears have a chance to end their losing streak during homecoming weekend at noon on Saturday at Nottingham Field against Weber State. The contest against the Wildcats will be UNC's first home game in a little more than a month.
