This Sunday is the battle of the 81's.
We have the original 81 (Terrell Owens) facing up against the new 81 (Randy Moss) when the undefeated Patriots take on the (barely) undefeated Cowboys.
Both receivers have been having amazing statistical years and look to have found a home off the field.
After T.O.'s overdose and depression last season, he seems to be breathing in new life with Tony Romo at the team's helm. T.O. has 21 receptions this season for 387 yards and three scores. Owens is No. 8 in the league averaging 18.4 yards per reception.
Moss, on the other hand, is leading the league in yards (551) and touchdowns (7) on a New England team that is built around chemistry. Moss knows if he pulls his tirades on Bill Belichick's team, he's not going to be thrown the ball - he'll be thrown out of the locker room.
Although Moss' stats are better for the season, Owens will have the bigger game. The Cowboys will likely double-team Moss, making Donte Stallworth or Wes Welker beat them. The Pats, on the other hand, will have single coverage on T.O. and have to defend against Patrick Crayton and Jason Witten as well.
The Cowboys go down to the Pats despite Owens, efforts, 38-17.
Week five sleeper:
Dwayne Bowe of the Kansas City Chiefs has slowly become one of the most reliable fantasy receivers during the past three weeks.
Bowe had 164 yards on eight receptions with a score two weeks ago when the Chiefs stunned the Chargers, 30-16.
Bowe, as the only reliable target on the Chiefs this season, could see similar numbers against a Cincinnati team who can't defend anyone. Don't rule out a 20 point (ESPN standard scoring) fantasy day for Bowe on Sunday.
Week five stud:
Kurt Warner, quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, has looked great the past three weeks coming off the bench to split time with the now injured Matt Leinart. In those three games, Warner has thrown four touchdowns and rushed for another.
Look for Warner's stats to improve as the starter and full time quarterback for the Cardinals team, which has an explosive offense.
I'm starting the fan club now, Warner for MVP - again (that's a joke, Brady is already a lock for the award, but it would be great to see a 36-year-old win the award wouldn't it?)
Week five dud:
Drew Brees, quarterback for the New Orleans Saints. Enough said.
