Monfort family donates money for future years

The Monfort Family Foundation will give the Monfort College of Business $75,000 over the next three years for renovations.
Dick Monfort, son of the founders of Monfort, finds the importance of providing business students and faculty with a high quality learning and teaching environment.
A room in Kepner Hall, formerly known as Monfort Inc., will undergo renovation with a Monfort Family Foundation theme. It will depict the foundation's projects in northern Colorado and throughout the state.
The donation will be given in three annual installments of $25,000. The Monfort Foundation committed to the College of Business in 1999 and has given the college about $10.5 million throughout the years.
Tim Jares, an interim dean of the Monfort College, recognized the generosity of the Monfort family with gratitude. He continued by saying that the achievements of the college would not have been possible without their help.
Monfort College has been recognized nationally and internationally. It is the first and only business program to receive the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award from the President of the United States.
