Wrestling team beats Falcons

The University of Northern Colorado wrestling team won its third straight dual against Western Wresting Conference foe, Air Force on Sunday at the Butler-Hancock Sports Pavilion.
The Bears won seven of 10 matches against the Falcons, winning 25-14.
Air Force took the first match at 141-pounds from a pin by Jake Kriegbaum on UNC senior Richard Lohr. The Bears answered back, but winning the next three matches in decisions at 149-pounds by junior Daniel Prater, at 157-pounds by redshirt freshman Rocco Depaolo and at 165-pounds by junior Devan Lewis.
The Falcons were able to seal two more matches at 174 and 184-pounds, however, redshirt freshman 197-pounder Patrick Carey, senior heavyweight Reece Hopkin, sophomore 125-pounder Tony Mustari and junior 133-pounder Blayze Bahe finished Air Force with four more wins for UNC.
The Bears progress to 4-1 in the Western Wrestling Conference matches, while the Falcons drop to 1-1. UNC meets Cal State Fullerton on Sunday at the Butler-Hancock Sports Pavilion.
