Students can take a break from the stress of finals and get pampered at Spa Night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday at the University Center.
Free massages, manicures, facials and waxes are some of the services students can take advantage of at Spa Night. Free food will also be provided to all who attend.
Spa Night typically has a turnout of 100-200 students looking for a break from studying.
"The whole night is just a blast," said Bailey Harrison, an intern at the Wellness Education Program. "You get free pampering and a free night of fun to get away from the stress of this time of year. There isn't anyone who wouldn't benefit from coming."
Spa Night is sponsored by the Wellness Education Program and is typically at the Campus Recreation Center.
But this semester, the night will take place by the fireplace in the upper level of the UC, as well as in both the Aspen and Spruce Rooms.
The space has been expanded to accommodate the number of vendors that will be present to offer services.
Some students said they are excited about the opportunity to get away from school and finals for several hours.
"It's a good idea," said Katie Maddox, a sophomore biology major. "I like the sound of it, and I can't believe it's all free."
Spa Night can even prevent nervous habits for some students.
"I think it will be a great night," said Brittney Herrera, a freshman business major. "I always bite my nails when I study and this will help me not do that. It's a really good release and it's nice to get a break for a while. I will definitely get a group of friends together and go to it."
