Student Nurses Association hosts blood drive on Thursday

Blood drives are often in abundance on campus. Because they are regular occurrences, the meaning behind each blood drive is sometimes lost. On Thursday, the Student Nurses Association hoped to change that with their annual blood drive outside of the University Center.

Welcoming new editor-in-chief

Christina Romero will be the editor-in-chief of the University of Northern Colorado's student newspaper, The Mirror, for the 2008-2009 school year. She will be succeeding Nate Taylor, who is graduating in May. "The Mirror is the voice of the students," Romero said.

Book drive aides literacy

The Mortar Board National Senior Honor Society is teaming up with the Barnes and Noble bookstore to help end illiteracy through a book drive. "This is an issue and problem that needs to be addressed," said Lyn Parker, the Mortar Board communications chair.
