The Monfort College of Business students who graduated this year maintained the college's high academic reputation as they collectively placed in the top four percent on the Educational Testing Service Major Field Test in Business, according to the UNC website.
The test is the most widely used instrument for assessing core business knowledge at undergraduate business programs nationwide, and approximately 650 business schools participated, the site also reported. MCB seniors have scored in the top four to 10 percent of students nationally every year since 2003.
Areas covered on the exam include accounting, finance, quantitative business analysis, management, marketing, legal/social environment, international business and economics.
The results are used as a driver for curricular improvement at the college. All Monfort students must complete the online exam in their final year of study.
