In the first Student Senate meeting of the fall semester, the council approved changes to the frequency of regular meetings and appointed three student-at-large positions to the organization funding board.
Student Senate will now meet bi-weekly. During the off weeks, directors will utilize the time for various committee meetings.
The new meeting time for the Organization Funding Board will take place Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Council Room of the University Center.
OFB will also adhere to new parameters, in which whoever holds the position of director of student organizations will determine the meeting time and day of the week it will be held.
Clubs and organizations that request more than $1,500 from the OFB must turn in all request forms at least 15 days prior to the event.
The three student-at-large positions were appointed to Andrea Rascon, Aaron Ontiveros and Shanice Clarke. These newly appointed students to the OFB will vote on the funding request, determining whether or not the club will receive funding and, if so, how much.
