UNC will host a party Sunday, March 13, beginning at 3:30 p.m. in Butler-Hancock Sports Pavilion to celebrate the men's team's Big Sky Conference championship and first-ever trip to the NCAA post-season tournament and watch the live TV broadcast announcing the brackets for the tournament.
The women's basketball team's season, regardless of the outcome of their trip to Portland for the Big Sky Women's Basketball Championship March 11-12, will also be recognized.
Players and coaches from the men's team and UNC cheerleaders will be on hand for the event. It's not known at this time of players and coaches from the women's team will be able to attend. The event is free and open to the public. Concession stands will be open.
If people can't attend the party they can watch the "NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Selection Show" 4-5 p.m. on CBS to find out the men's team's next opponent and where the game will be played.
