Former University of Northern Colorado quarterback Kyle Sloter signed a three-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings worth $1.665 million.
“I was brought in as a free agent ‘camp arm’ expected to be released at the end of camp,” Sloter said in an Instagram post on Saturday. “I stand here now looking at every single person who told me what I couldn’t do as a member of the Minnesota Vikings 53-man active roster. Thank you for telling me what I couldn’t do because it inspired me to show you you’re wrong.”
He was previously signed to their practice squad, following an impressive preseason as a member of the Denver Broncos.
The move to sign Sloter comes with starter Sam Bradford ruled as questionable for the Vikings matchup this Sunday against the Steelers.
