The University of Northern Colorado’s College of Performing and Visual Arts, or PVA, offers a dynamic range of performances and events, serving both students and the greater Greeley community. With venues located throughout the campus, including the Norton Theatre, Frasier Theatre, and the Campus Commons Performance Hall, UNC provides a vibrant space for the performing arts. PVA presents a diverse selection of theatre, music, and dance performances throughout the academic year.

“Our theater program has some of the most creative and talented minds out there,” said Alex Saucedo, a Theatre Education major at UNC.

The Norton Theatre and the Langworthy Theatre are home to many of the department’s plays and musicals, while the Campus Commons Performance Hall highlights larger productions and concerts. These venues not only provide students with hands-on experience in performing but also offer Greeley residents a chance to enjoy quality performances right in their community.

This year the shows and performances include: “Working: A Musical,” “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,” “That Day in Tucson,” “42nd Street,” and a variety of jazz and band concerts. In the fall, “Working: A Musical” will be at the Norton Theatre Oct. 3 –13 and “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” will be at the Langworthy Theatre Oct. 31 - Nov. 3. In the spring, “That Day in Tucson” will be at the Norton Theatre Feb. 6-16 and “42nd Street” will be at the Langworthy Theatre March 6-9.

“We have signs all around campus promoting our shows each semester,” said Sylvia LaGalbo, an acting major at UNC and Studio Season Acting Representative. “So you know when and how to get tickets for mainstages, one-acts, as well as the incredible student directed shows each semester. You can also visit the UNC ticking website for more information.”

If you are interested in attending a show this year the ticket office, located in the Campus Commons, serves as the headquarters for many of these events. The Campus Commons Ticket office is open Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The ticket office is located at 1051 22nd Street next to the Campus Commons performance hall. Tickets for upcoming shows can be purchased in-person or online at tickets.unco.edu.
